

Treatment Options

Windows and Doors that are oiled.
- Apply 2 (preferably 3) full flow coats of maddison oil to all surfaces of your product.
- Over time the lustre, colour of your windows & doors will fade back so a “preventative maintenance” program should be put in place for your windows and doors.

For painted window and doors.
- If your windows or doors are painted, we have applied a coat of water based primer.
- You should apply 2 (preferably 3) full top coats of paint, and we recommend a “preventative maintenance” program should also be put in place for your windows & doors.
- Window sills & door treds should be wiped down at least once a year with clean warm water to prevent build up of dirt etc.
- Bifold door treds should be free from build up of dirt and grime in tracks.
- Weep holes to front of bi fold door treds should also be free from build up of dirt and grime.
Preventative maintenance.
For example:
Apply another light coat of oil possibly once every 18 months to 2 years, or maybe even before this, depending on the severity of local conditions and orientation (ie: north, south, east or west facing) Always read the manufacturers label on the oil or paint chosen.
Failure to apply final top coats on completeion of works will void any waranty claims.
